About Alejandro A. Rodriguez:
Principal and Country Manager in Mexico with Plante Moran

I’m the Mexico country manager, and I specialize in helping clients explore, establish, startup, and operate business ventures in Mexico and Latin America. I mainly advise manufacturing & distribution companies that range in size from privately held middle-market businesses looking to complete their first international venture to multinational corporations with global operations.

My expertise includes assisting clients with business case development & validation, site selection & incentive negotiation, investment structuring & incorporation, operational due diligence, import/export issues, strategic sourcing, operational startup assistance, and cultural bridge building.

With more than 20 years of experience working and living in the United States and Mexico, I’m able to offer a unique approach to cross-border business consulting. My clients appreciate that I’ve helped hundreds of companies start, expand, and improve their operations in Mexico by being practical and avoiding the most common obstacles in cross-border business.

I’m a regular speaker at events and seminars related to doing business in Mexico, and I’m often quoted regarding the Mexican business climate, trends, and opportunities. I have a B.S. in mechanical engineering with a minor in business administration. I attended ITESM in Monterrey, Mexico, and Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado.

I love to spend time with my wife and two young boys. I enjoy traveling to unfamiliar places to learn local cultures and meet local people. I love soccer, and I’m a huge Rayados de Monterrey fan.
