Employee Pensions in India

KPMG in India in collaboration with FICCI has brought out a knowledge paper on employee pension plans in India. This is the second such knowledge paper and also covers industry practices on employee pension plans (collated through a survey).

The journey towards a pensioned society requires greater emphasis on implementing pension reforms. A lot of effort and planning is needed for building sufficient capacity, scalability and support for implementation of such reforms. The knowledge paper talks about the current state of employee pensions in India and the initiatives being taken by the Indian government and other stakeholders. KPMG in India also conducted an employer pension plans survey 2017 and the knowledge paper captures the results of the same, along with comparative analysis as there was a similar survey done in 2015.
